Women at greatest risk of contracting HIV:
Caribbean, African, Black, Indigenous, and Trans women are at the greatest risk of contracting HIV. About half of the women who are newly diagnosed with HIV each year are immigrants from places where HIV is endemic.

Women = refers to cis and Trans women, including Caribbean, African, Indigenous, black women, women who use drugs. Women who face systemic and social inequities face exposure to HIV through using drugs or sexual partner.
The OACHA HIV/AIDS Strategy
The OACHA HIV/AIDS Strategy is an organization that's goal is to improve the well-being and health of women in Ontario by providing appropriate care to women who are living with HIV and women at risk of contracting HIV.

Is when women living with HIV are most often diagnosed.
This is a time period that women may consider having children. Safe child-bearing is often considered the biggest concern for women living with HIV. While this is true, research shows other risk factors at this age, such as: having access to services, resources for mental health, prevention studies to educate women and reduce their risk of contracting HIV due to drug use or sexual contact with high-risk partners.
